One thing that you may have noticed is that my first and second vehicles in the screenshots are not instantly recognizable. Because they are of the copy vehicle, not the original. (The police boat was the original vehicle. I changed it to a car and duplicated the car many times.) I think the best way to create an asset is to do it with BSP first. Get your friends to search for and download an asset of a vehicle that they want. Then take the.bsp file from that asset (the one with the vehicle model it is based on). Open it in the eden editor (not the arma 3 editor), choose a different asset you want, and then drag the base.bsp file from the eden editor into your project. This will import the file into your project. However, there are limitations to this technique. The limit is 5.5 million polygons. You can make an asset lighter by reducing the number of nodes on the model. This is especially helpful if the model has a lot of tree growth. Arma is known for trees, so I didn't need to reduce that for my vehicle. However, for big tree models, reduce the number of nodes until you find the weight of the model acceptable. Just remember to make sure you aren't breaking your own simulation engine.
